Simply turn a trimpot until the IF frequency of your radio is displayed.

For those with a 5.1735MHz IF, a switch on the back decides 80 and 40  or  20, 15 and 10 meters

For the other models, with 5.5 MHz IF, the switch decides Normal or Reversed SSB to match the setting of the switch on the radio.

For the 250 and 250C the vfo reading is multiplied by 3 and added to the IF.  The switch does nothing.  Resolution is 100Hz instead of 10Hz.

For many of these radios the VFO signal is available on the accessory socket on the back panel.

Yellow LED Backlit Display module now available.

This module is the same size as the non backlit module and replaces it directly. You will have to supply a dropping resistor to set the current from your primary power source. The forward voltage drop of the LEDs is 4V and the maximum current is 200 ma. The unit lights up pretty good with 30 ma. At this setting it can be powered continuously from the on-board 5V regulator through a 33 ohm 1/4 watt resistor. From 12V you need an 80ohm/2W resistor for 100 ma, or a 160ohm/1W resistor for 50 ma.
